Tour Charlotte

When the leading and largest funeral director association visits Charlotte, you know we're going to have a good time! Charlotte has so much to offer – from world-class restaurants and great shopping to unique sightseeing throughout the area. And, as the home of NASCAR, Charlotte offers exciting opportunities for race enthusiasts.

Join NFDA for these exciting networking and social activities during Convention to relax, explore Charlotte and connect with colleagues:

On Saturday, join NFDA as we help Habitat for Humanity rebuild a Charlotte community and make home ownership a reality for a local family. There are so many ways to help, whether you pick up a hammer and help onsite, or support the project through a donation or sponsorship.

If hitting the open road on a motorcycle is more your speed, join fellow enthusiasts for a 140-mile round trip motorcycle ride. You'll even make a stop at the famed Charlotte Motor Speedway. It's a great way to see the greater Charlotte area!

Or participate in the ultimate NASCAR experience with a behind-the-scenes tour of Charlotte Motor Speedway. Then, it's your turn to get on the track! A professionally trained driver will take you around a high-banked track at speeds of up to 185 mph in an actual NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race car! It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

On Monday, get to know the city through a walking tour of the Queen City that will introduce you to Charlotte's history, architecture, public art and future plans for growth. Included in your tour is a visit to the Levine Museum of the New South, an interactive museum that provides the most comprehensive interpretation of post-Civil War Southern society.

If you like outdoor adventure, you'll love Rockin' the Rapids with a visit to the U.S. National Whitewater Center on Tuesday, where you can take advantage of the 307-acre public adventure-sport facility. You'll have access to mountain biking, eco-trekking, Climb 2 Zip canyon crossing adventure course, whitewater rafting and kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and flat-water kayaking and mega jump.

All these tours will generate lasting memories of your visit to Charlotte! Get some friends together and make the most of your stay by participating in one or more of these great events!
